Dance Recital for VSDance
by Parker Yates on May.14, 2011, under Work
Today I headed to Dunnellon, FL to shoot three dance recitals for my new friend Salam Tims, whom I met shooting horse competitions for Catchride this spring. The dance company is called VSDance (Victoria’s School of Dance) and includes children in pre-k all the way up to highschoolers. It was a cool experience for me since I had never seen a dance recital before. There must have been over 100 people combined dancing in the three showings that day. Above is a screen grab from their shortened rendition of “Swan Lake.”
Equestrian Videography for Catchride
by Parker Yates on Apr.11, 2011, under Work
For the last few months I have been spending my weekends shooting equestrian videos for a company called Catchride. The competitions normally have three sections called “phases.” The first and and most relaxing to shoot is called dressage, which means training. The first out of state Shoot I had was in North Carolina at a huge ranch called The Forks, which has been around since 1748.
